ZETA BETA TAU
ABOUT US
Founded in 1898, ZBT is the world’s first and largest Jewish Fraternity. Since our historic founding, more than 140,000 men have been initiated into our great Brotherhood.

The mission of Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity (ZBT) is to foster and develop in its brotherhood the tenets of its Credo: Intellectual Awareness, Social Responsibility, Integrity, and Brotherly Love, to prepare its brothers for positions of leadership and service within their communities. Since 1954, ZBT has been committed to its policy of non-sectarian brotherhood and values the diversity of its brothers. ZBT will recruit and initiate men of good character, regardless of religion, race or creed who are accepting of these principles.

The Eta Alpha Chapter of Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity is starting at Clemson University in Spring 2024.
ZETA BETA TAU'S
NEW BROTHERS AND DUES
While we are considered a Jewish Fraternity, we are not a religious organization, and lean on our Jewish ties for our values, philanthropy, and heritage programs. This is a fraternity that is open to all and emphasizes a diverse and judgment-free atmosphere. We are recruiting men of good character with a wide variety of backgrounds and interests.

After receiving and accepting a bid, new brothers will be initiated within 72 hours. There is no pledging process.

We are a small and new fraternity, but this means all members will have the opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of this new chapter and have a larger influence on the decisions made within the group!
WHAT SETS US APART
A FRATERNITY WITHOUT PLEDGING
ZBT banned pledging within all of its chapters in 1989 and implemented The Journey as a primary structure by which chapters can base their brotherhood bonding and development.

THE JOURNEY
The ZBT Fraternity is dedicated to developing its brothers socially, educationally, and professionally. The Journey is ZBT’s four-year development program with the purpose of maintaining the education and development of each and every brother within the fraternity. All brothers regardless of year participate not just within the first few weeks of brotherhood, but throughout their whole tenure in the chapter.

Brothers will participate in brotherhood orientation, a big brother mentoring program, brotherhood building events, educational programs, a brotherhood retreat, and senior and alumni panels. These steps ensure that ZBT brothers are always striving to be better versions of themselves and get as much out of the fraternity experience as possible.

SERVICE AND PHILANTHROPY
Service and philanthropy are an integral part of the fraternity and are viewed as our responsibility as members of our organization and our community alike. Through setting up service and philanthropic programs, we are able to improve valuable skills such as leadership, team-building, goal-setting, and networking.
